Recommendation from the Development Guide
Translate HR Benefits into Business Benefits
Make it a habit to translate every HR initiative into the language of business so that the bottom-line impact or competitive advantage will be clearly apparent to line managers. For example, what is the cost in dollars, down time, recruiting costs, etc., of high turnover? Under what circumstances might high turnover be desirable? State the advantages and disadvantages of any course of action under consideration in terms related to the core business strategies of your firm.
